BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend 2011 took place in Carlisle at the city's Airport on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 May 2011. There was live music across four stages, music and activities from the two-day event all covered on: Radio 1, BBC TV, on the Radio 1 web and mobile sites as well as on the red button from BBC Digital TV Channels.
