Solway Tides

Before venturing along the Solway Coast it is important to check the tides. Tidal flooding can affect sections of Hadrian's Wall National Trail, so be prepared in advance of your visit!

Tide predictions for the next 7 days can be accessed on the Easytide website or you can purchase the Solway Tide booklet from local Tourist Information Centres. Tide predictions are also given in local newspapers or on notice boards with the Solway Coast area.

Important Note: The predicted tide times and heights are for the port of Silloth. For other areas of the Solway Coast add on 2 hours during British Summer Time (BST) and one hour for Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). You should also allow an hour either side of the predicted time to avoid the area.
