The Old Fire Station
The Old Fire Station is an exciting new arts and entertainment venue.
The newly transformed Fire Station opened to the public in May 2015. Following the devastating flooding caused by Storm Desmond in December of 2015, the arts venue once again rose like a phoenix, reopening once again on Saturday 17 September 2016.
The main building provides four main spaces including: a ground floor foyer with box office; cafe-bar, plus a main auditorium for live music, comedy, theatre and exhibitions accommodating around 200 seated or 400 standing.
There is also a first floor studio space for workshops and conferences, plus a first floor studio. The remaining space includes smaller rooms which are used for offices, rehearsal, changing rooms and studios for rent.
McGrew's Bistro is based within the venue and is open seven days a week, between 10:00 and 17:00. The bar will also be open during evening events.
