North Atlas is a Scottish Alt Rock band based in Glasgow. Formed in late 2015, the band worked with producer Mark Freegard (Nine Inch Nails) to record a collection of songs which
have received support from DJ Jim Gellatly of Amazing Radio, NE volume & NARC magazine.
The band’s energetic live show puts across modern guitar sounds mixed with heavier electronic elements created by the bass guitar and samplers, always performed live with no backing tracks. Hard hitting drums and Biffy Clyro influenced vocals keep the band grounded with a classic element. In 2016 North Atlas headlined the QMU Freshers Festival, performed at Milecastle 66 Festival, and was given a slot at Tenement TV’s Tenement Trail, also playing a string of well received headline shows across the UK including a packed out night at acclaimed Glasgow venue King Tuts.
In 2017 the band were invited back to King Tuts for their New Year’s Revolution festival and are currently working on a debut EP.
