Event Location: Carlisle Castle
Taking place at Carlisle Castle, and celebrating their 10 year anniversary, Cumbria Pride is a volunteer-led community organisation established in 2009 that seeks to ensure that the LGBT+ community of Cumbria and its supporters are recognised, celebrated and supported through an annual Pride event.
By contributing to the internationally recognised Pride movement, Cumbria Pride takes a positive stance against discrimination, delivering an inclusive event which promotes cohesion and celebrates diversity.
Their mission is to promote equality, diversity and to protect the future of LGBT communities of Cumbria. Promote equality and diversity for the public benefits and counter discrimination against LGBT people across Cumbria.
Cumbria Pride aims to be a strong voice for Cumbria's LGBT community and also provide a safe environment to engage communities in the celebration of their sexual orientation and gender identity.
The free family friendly event will include music and entertainment by Heather Peace, Sonique, Janice Robinson, Cappella, Christopher Maloney and many more.
A parade will start at 11am from the Civic Centre.
