This spectacular retrospective celebrates the extraordinary talent of Cumbrian artist Percy Kelly (1918-1933). For the first time major examples of Kelly’s artistic output are brought together in a rich display of over 100 works, many of which have not been on display before.
The exhibition is specially curated by Chris Wadsworth, the leading expert on the life and work of Percy Kelly.
Carlisle Cricket Club pavilion at Edenside was flooded in 2005 and 2015. the club commissioned archaeologists to carry out investigations into moving the clubhouse which uncovered evidence of Roman baths. The work has since uncovered significant archaeology and high quality find of a premier league importance.
