K J Whittle will talk about her debut novel, ‘Seven Reasons to Kill Your Dinner Guests’. A devilish whodunit that asks the question – what would you do differently if you knew when your time was up?
This knife-sharp debut has all the trimmings of an Agatha Christie classic, and tells the story of an anonymously hosted dinner party where seven strangers meet. At its conclusion, each guest is given an envelope revealing the age at which they will die. Shocked, the group disperses into the rainy night with the hope of forgetting this ghoulish stunt. Until two weeks later, news spreads that one of their number has died at the age foretold…
Told from the perspective of each diner, Seven Reasons To Murder Your Dinner Guests is packed with memorable characters, witty social commentary and a devilish whodunit. It balances mystery with mortality and poses the question: what would you do differently if you knew when your time was up?
