Reverend Theodore Bayley Hardy VC, DSO, MC was the most decorated non-combatant in the First World War. He won the top three gallantry awards inside nine month and didn’t even carry a gun.
His is a story of courage, determination, holiness and downright goodliness. He was born in Devon, went to University in London, taught at Nottingham Grammar School and eventually at Bentham Grammar School.
