Local Area

Brampton itself sprawls outwards from the restored Moot Hall, an octagonal market hall in the centre of Brampton, towards pockets of ancient woodland and rolling hills. In the middle of Brampton are eateries aplenty and independent retailers offering local goods and services. Brampton is an excellent base from which to explore historic Carlisle and the surrounding area of northern Cumbria. From here, Talkin Tarn and Walby Farm Park are excellent places to keep kids of all ages entertained. You also have the Solway Aviation Museum and the Lake District Airport right on your doorstep. For an evening meal, our village pub, the Samson Inn, has re-opened under Community Ownership, and we are delighted to support the new tenant. Please email or text me if you would like us to book a table for you.
