Our Michelin Key awarded hotel is renowned for its impeccable attention to detail, unrivaled customer service and guests love its location surrounded by beautiful grounds and the rolling North Cumbrian countryside. Farlam Hall has 18 luxurious bedrooms, each a haven of comfort and elegance. The 12 hotel rooms are a blend of traditional charm and modern luxury, offering sumptuous furnishings and fine linens. Our Stable Suite collection comprises of six premier suites, originally the estate’s coach house and stables, each individually designed to offer the perfect sanctuary to unwind. At the heart of our hotel lies Michelin starred restaurant, the Cedar Tree by Hrishikesh Desai, a haven of fine dining, open Wednesday to Saturday evenings. We prioritise locally sourced, seasonal produce, some of which is grown in our own kitchen gardens, to deliver creative and delicious cuisine. Bistro Enkel, serving more classic, uncomplicated dishes, is open for dinner Sundays to Tuesdays as well as Sunday lunch. A recent addition to our offerings is HRISHI’s Table, an intimate chef’s table experience, where every plate tells a story. A delicious breakfast is served at the hotel and guests can choose from full English and a continental option. For those seeking relaxation, wander through our beautifully manicured gardens or unwind with a book in the comfortable lounge. For the more adventurous, the surrounding countryside offers a wealth of activities, from scenic hikes to leisurely bike rides, with many world-renowned historical attractions such as UNESCO World heritage site a short drive away. Scattered across Cumbria, you’ll find small towns and villages with intriguing local businesses. Base yourself in Brampton and find time to investigate the Gallery North West, a contemporary art gallery boasting work from local artists, or roam the ancient Gelt Woods RSPB Nature Reserve which straddles the River Gelt and is teeming with plant, animal and bird life. Whatever you’re into, a visit to Brampton offers something for everyone.

How To Find Us

If you’re driving, you can find Farlam Hall Hotel 12.5 miles south-east of Carlisle on the A689 Brampton to Alston road. Please note: we’re not in Farlam village. The main north/south motorway, the M6, is only 10 miles to Junction 44 if traveling north or Junction 43 if traveling south. It is a 15 to 20-minute drive to either junction. We have an electric car charging point on site, which is complimentary for residents. Let us know when you book if you’ll need access to the charging point during your stay.
